Job Description:


The Facilities and Maintenance Associate is a vital part of keeping our New York HQ office in the best condition for our employees and visitors. This role will be highly visible, supporting our Office Manager to ensure the office is clean, fully stocked and safe for all employees. This is a full-time hourly position with a typical schedule reflecting Monday through Friday daytime hours.  


You will ...



  • Proactively manage the overall office space including upkeep, cleanliness, and maintenance of the NYC HQ office

  • Complete daily maintenance rounds and supports office cleaning efforts (dishes, bathroom, trash/recycle and various other assignments as needed)

  • Assist in the shipping and receiving of office supplies and materials

  • Work closely with the Office Manager to manage weekly and monthly facility routines and comply with all safety regulations to maintain a clean and orderly work area

  • Troubleshoot problems, multitask requests  and prioritize work to support efficient office operations. 

  • Have the ability to execute minor carpentry and repair work - for example, fix tables and drawers, hang bulletin boards, change light bulbs, etc

  • Set the tone for the office by maintaining a positive personality, sense of urgency, independent thinking, self-starting and high-spirited “can-do” attitude

  • The ability to communicate effectively and professionally with employees at all levels of the organization

  • Time management skills and possess the skills to prioritize effectively 

  • While performing the duties of this job, you are regularly required to talk and hear

  • This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing all day

  • The ability to frequently lift and/or move items over 50 pound and have the ability to move furniture, relocate boxes and other items via stairwell between two floors

  •  Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus
