DiscoEat transforms the restaurant experience. DiscoEat is a technology-based restaurant discovery platform where users can book tables for up to 50% discount. For customers, DiscoEat presents a new way of discovering great restaurants at discounted prices - up to 50% on every restaurant, every day. For restaurants, DiscoEat helps to generate significantly higher revenues and profits by filling empty seats - mainly during off-peak hours. We are based right in the center of Berlin.

About the Role


The Frontend Engineer at DiscoEat is a part of the Development Team and responsible for pipeline development. We work in a small and efficient agile team. Our platform is split into several micro applications hosted on AWS. Currently, we have several frontend applications based on Laravel framework.


 Key Responsibilities




  • Help us to scale and improve our business processes through the innovative use of technology




  • Maintain and develop our main frontend application




  • Understand technical requirements and work closely with our backend engineers and non-technical stakeholders




  • Design fast, intuitive and easy-to-use interfaces on top of our ecosystem of microservices




  • Code reviews and support your colleagues on a daily business basis




  • Work in an international team and feel comfortable working in English




 Your Profile




  • 3+ years of experience in a fast-paced and rapidly changing work environment




  • Strong understanding of Javascript/CSS/HTML




  • Knowledge of frameworks and toolchains such as Vue.js and Gulp




  • Experience with responsive web design




  • Deep care for quality, usability and cross-browser compatibility




  • A highly analytical mind with creative problem-solving skills




  • Strong communication skills and a great team player




  • Start-up Experience is a plus but not required
