This role would suit a qualified Solicitor who may already be working in-house, or might be looking for a first in-house role.

This role is the main contact for all UK day to day commercial, data protection, employment, product and food safety and corporate legal queries. You will report into UK senior management and will be integrated in HelloFresh’s global legal department which is headquartered in Berlin. You will instruct/manage our external legal firms but will be given the autonomy to manage your workload. There will be lots of involvement in critical company projects as we seek continued growth in a very fast-paced field.

As our in-house Solicitor, you will…

• ensure HelloFresh understands its contractual commitments and advise on how best to protect and promote HelloFresh’s interests


• lead the local UK legal function and be the main legal point of contact in the UK


• liaise with, hold to account and support contracting with external lawyers


• review, amend and approve supplier contracts


• be the main contact for most commercial legal queries


• handle any disputes and assist the business regarding termination of commercial contracts


• report into the Finance Director

As our Data Protection Officer, you will…

• understand and monitor our data processes


• ensure the appropriate safeguards are in place to ensure the highest level of compliance


• act as point of contact for all GDPR matters


• report into the Chief Executive Officer

You are…

• a qualified solicitor in the UK with a minimum of 3-5 years broad commercial PQE gained in-house or in a pro-active private practice environment


• knowledgeable about corporate, commercial, data protection (GDPR), employment and product and food safety law and practice


• highly effective at using legal skills to solve problems and identify and implement pragmatic solutions


• in possession of strong legal drafting skills and powers of analysis with excellent attention to detail


• skilled in written and oral communication with the ability to present complex issues clearly at all levels


• experienced in influencing and building strong relationships with different types of people at all levels
