Responsabilities :


As Head of Content, your responsibility is to ensure your team creates and optimize customer appealing content on Jumia for customers to have a seamless experience.


 


As Head of Arabic Content, your responsibility is to ensure your team creates and optimize customer appealing content on Jumia for customers to have a seamless experience.




  • Manage a team of 5 to 10 content owner, graphic designer and photographer




  • Lead team in creating content in french and arabic in line with the Jumia standard and KPIs;




  • Own the quality of the product content from picture to text;




  • Manage SLAs & reporting across sub-teams: content writing, photography, image editing, quality control;




  • Responsible for the process of counterfeit control ;




  • Carry out team training on relevant skills ;




  • Monitor the effectiveness of new and existing content tools and take the lead on coming up with solutions ;




  • Synergize with other teams for the optimization of content and other related initiatives ;




  • Work effectively without close supervision and take lead of local projects ;




  • Take part to company monetisation by collaborating to the development of Jumia Studio ;




 


 


Requirements


 




  • Ability to communicate flawlessly in both verbal and written mediums with impeccable spelling and grammar in Arabic and French.




  • Professional written and oral knowledge in English.




  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint) tools




  • Working knowledge of Google Office Productivity Tools.




  • You are tech savvy, able to learn quickly how to use new tools




  • Details oriented and seeking perfection ;




  • Ability to deal with ambiguous problems and build lasting solutions ;




  • Project and team management skills are essential ;




  • Proven ability to manage multiple team, competing priorities simultaneously ;




  • Autonomous, you adapt fast and learn by doing ;




 


 





Qualification & Experience


 



  • Master Degree in business, engineering or arts ;


  • 1-2 years' experience in content creation for high traffic website ;




  • 1 year minimum managerial experience ;




  • Working knowledge of the online businesses/e-commerce industry ;




  • Experience with Salesforce is a plus ;
