As the lead of our underwriting unit, she wants to oversee the structuring, assessing and signing Billie's risk positions. You will help us to define best-in-class underwriting processes, and bring in extensive industry knowledge, ideally from working in a factoring, banking, credit-insurance of leasing domain. You want to be a pivotal role at the interface of sales and risk operations. A core responsibility seeks to assess the maximum acceptable risk levels of our merchant partners and individual debtors. This includes shaping adequate risk mitigating policies. You want to interact with our re-financing partners to inform their respective underwriting procedures.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR



  • You have an education in business administration or similar

  • You have at least 5 years of working experience in the financial industry with a background in underwriting, ideally in either factoring, banking or leasing

  • You bring significant experience in credit risk analysis based on traditional data (financial statements, management accounts, OPOS, SuSa) and non-traditional information (bank account data)

  • You understand how to spot dilution risk as well as fraudulent behavior in the invoice book and accounting data

  • You gained extensive work experience in small and mid-cap clients, possibly including onsite due diligence and client interviews

  • You know how to develop credit risk policies, manuals, and process documentations

  • You have a good business judgment when assessing the validity of business models across various industries

  • Your experience in leading small teams and provided coaching to junior colleagues is a plus

  • Your experience in the B2B e-commerce space is a welcomed plus

  • You are fluent in English
