Main Responsibilities
The Logistic Manager will be responsible for the Jumia Global end to end logistic solutions mapping including suppliers searching, management and coordination of full-order cycle, align metrics and resources to leverage volume for highest return.
In particular you will:
• Looking for new international shipping & Air solution to create most reliable and even faster supply.
• Searching, negotiation, Management of cross border supply chain for Jumia Global shipment from Asia to Africa countries.
• Own FLC and LCL shipping operation.
• Create route to improve delivery fulfillment and customer promise for international order.
• Diversify logistic partnership for trade route.
• Develop systems and processes to improve fulfillment lead-time for Jumia global bound shipment.
• Constantly improving existing processes and finding means to better supply efficiency and metric.
• Roll-out and standardize reverse supply chain for international sellers.
• Streamline international seller inventory management.
• Enhancement of Customer Experience/Vendor Experience for Jumia Global.
• Cost optimization for international Freight and local custom clearing.
• Negotiate international freight & local clearing cost with 100% reliability.
• Develop streamlined reports, dashboards and intermediate indicators.
Professional Skills & Qualifications
• Understand end to end logistic solutions including air and sea shipping customs model / shipping modal / charge modal / document requirement.
• 4 years + of logistic related experience in Ocean freight. With air is a plus.
• Experience and knowledge for Africa market is a plus.
• Experience of supply chain management and transportation concepts: forecasting, planning, optimization, logistics, delivery performance, carrier negotiation, inventory management, S&OP.
• Clear understanding of Logistics network management, Retail or Customer Service processes and priorities is a Plus.
• Experience of Six Sigma/ Lean analytical technique is a plus.
• Understanding of E-Commerce Direct-to-Consumer order fulfillment concepts is a Plus.
• Fluent in Both English and Chinese.
