Discover Restaurants with Discounts! DiscoEat changes the way restaurants are booked. DiscoEat is a technology-based restaurant discovery platform where users can book tables with discounts between 10% to 50%, every restaurant, every day. For restaurants, DiscoEat is a yield management tool. Every empty table costs a restaurant money due to high fixed costs. We help our partners to generate significantly higher revenues and profits by filling empty seats - mainly during off-peak hours. 
 

About the Role


Sales is one of the most lucrative professional jobs. We are looking for smart university students who have a good understanding of business processes but who also bring the right mentality to become successful in sales professionals. If you are shy and afraid to talk to people who you don’t know, this is probably not the right job for you. If you want to learn about sales processes, strategies and psychological tools that will help you become a killer sales person, then you are in the right place. After a thorough onboarding training you will not act like an intern, you will become an integral part of our sales team.
 
Your tasks as sales intern at DiscoEat will include:


  • Initiating contact with new partners by phone and in person 


  • Independently signing new high-quality partner restaurants for the DiscoEat platform


  • Being a consultant to existing and new restaurant partners


  • Supporting in the sales process of professional restaurant groups


  • Working as the right hand of our Head of Sales to support our business development processes, strategies


  • Preparing training material to make our sales team (and yourself) even more successful 


  • Qualification of new leads to make sure we only reach out to the restaurants that we really want to have on the platform


 
Your profile/ the requirements


  • Being able to listen - 80% of your success is determined by being able to listen


  • Being empathetic - you are not selling a product. You are building relationships.


  • Basic understanding of the restaurant business.


  • Ideally, you have some experience in promotion jobs.


  • Fluency in English (written & verbal).
