Job Description

We are looking for a System Administrator (m/f) for our IT Infrastructure team at Rocket Internet. The team is responsible for client support and for managing day-to-day operations of our internal IT infrastructure.

The following tasks will be part of your new role:

• Deploy new hardware and software for staff

• Assist in on- and offboarding new staff and freelancers  

• Respond to user requests in a timely, efficient and professional manner

• Keep track of IT related issues and document their solutions for future reference using Jira/Confluence

• Provide help desk support and ensure all tickets are resolved in a timely manner

• Assist in the ongoing maintenance of Macs, PCs and Linux machines

• Administer internal and external user accounts (G Suite, Active Directory, etc.)

• Utilize tools and methodologies to load, copy and customize operating system configuration for deployment

• Assist with the inventory management of software licenses, software, hardware and other IT supplies

• Assist the rest of the IT team in planning and executing internal IT projects

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of experience in deploying and managing Windows on the Desktop

• Experience in working with Windows Deployment services

• Experience in supporting macOS and Linux clients

• Experience in using and supporting Google Suite (e.g. Gmail, Calendar, G Suite Sync for Microsoft Outlook)

• Strong software and hardware troubleshooting, analytical and problem-solving skills

• Excellent written and spoken English skills, German is a plus

Nice to have:

• Relevant programming experience in Powershell and/or Bash scripting for automation applications is a plus

• Experience with VMWare

• Experience with Debian Linux
