Job Description

As a (Junior) Fund Controller (m/f) – you will be part of the investment controlling team at our headquarter in Berlin. The position offers great insights into our portfolio of companies worldwide. You will be part of a very dynamic team and will work interdisciplinary with colleagues from other departments within Rocket Internet as well as with external service providers.

The following tasks will be part of your new role:

• Supporting the preparation of the quarterly reporting package for investors (in English language)
• Maintaining key portfolio data and legal library on all fund investments
• Supporting the investment approval process
• Reviewing in depth the work performed by the fund’s administrator/accountant
• Monitoring and reconciliation of cash flows, liaising with the administrator on payments
• Supporting the annual audit and tax preparation
• Supporting the preparing information of capital calls

Qualifications

• You gained some initial work experience through internships in finance, accounting, controlling or at an audit company
• You earned a degree in business administration or a related field with a focus on finance, accounting or controlling
• You work highly detail oriented and strive to ensure the highest level of data quality
• You communicate well with stakeholders internally and external service providers
• You possess solid Excel skills to perform data analysis
• You are a native German speaker (or can communicate verbally and in writing like one) and have excellent English skills, our working language
